Help Callie’s mom get treatment for her cancer.

Story

Hi, my name is Callie McBride, and I am creating this fundraiser for my mom.

My mom has been living with deep skin cancer for years. I know that sounds so simple, but due to the location of the cancer (right over her sternum), it’s only a matter of time before it reaches her bone and causes the cancer to spread. She does not know that I’m raising funds for her because she always dismisses her condition with the excuse that her kids come first.

She finally got insurance a few months ago, and we became hopeful that she could have surgery to have it removed. Sadly, her surgery was scheduled for yesterday, and we had to cancel it because the company did not inform her that it wouldn’t be covered under her insurance and it would have to be paid in full on the day of.

She’s spent my whole life supporting my siblings and me through all of our sports, dreams, and school, while putting her health on the back burner. While I am extremely grateful for her sacrifices to our family, I think it’s time for her to put herself first. I do not want to lose my mom to something that could have been treated and removed before spreading.

I’m trying to raise 1,000 dollars for her surgery. I love my mom more than anything in this whole world, and I would love to be able to help her with this.
